An online Pete Sampras fan club
www.samprasfaz.com
is selling t-shirts to raise money for Petes
favorite charity, The Tim & Tom Gullikson Foundation.
The shirt, which features a color photo
of Pete on the front and career highlights on the back,
is being sold for $30, plus shipping and handling. The deadline
for ordering the shirt is July 21.
Tim Gullikson was Pete's coach who died
of brain cancer. The
Tim & Tom Gullikson Foundation was founded in 1995 by tennis
professionals Tim and Tom Gullikson and their families after
Tim was diagnosed with brain tumors. Tim lost his battle
with the disease in May 1996.
Samprasfanz president Joy Parker said, This year we
thought we would offer a t-shirt as incentive to Sampras
fans worldwide to donate to this worthy cause. You can view
the design of this shirt online at www.samprasfanz.org.
Presently Samprasfanz has 60 orders, but our goal is 100
or more. Please help us reach our goal by ordering a shirt!
In case you would like to order a shirt but make a larger
donation, you can do that as well.
You may order by sending e-mail to Peteshirt@hotmail.com.
Then the fan club will contact you as to where and how to
send the money.
Samprasfanz is a Internet fan groupwith
approximately 550 members from 60 nations. In the last two
years, the club has donated $2,540 to the foundation.
