Reader applauds sisters interview
Thanks for printing the "Williams
sisters in their own words". It's nice that they are getting
recognized for this monumental acheivement (1 and 2 rankings for
sisters) … for all the press given to J-Cap [Jennifer Capriati]
for her "comeback" after her drug/father ordeal. The media
made it seem like it was the second coming, but no one has blasted
her the way she should be blasted. Cussing out BJK [Billie Jean
King], sour grapes over losing to Serena, but I guess she said it
best during that match, "I'm f---ing choking" and she
did. Shut-up and practice that serve. All I know is when Venus and
Serena first hit the scene with cockiness and arrogance they were
blasted for every loss, win, mistake, bead, outfit, handshake at
the net, interview, speech, and show of confidence. So criticize
if you must, just criticize all who deserve it, and if the Sisters
did, so does Jennifer. But thank you again for printing that interview.
