US tournaments stand against WTA Roadmap 2010Some don't submit tournament applications; other delayA collection of US tournaments took a bold step in attempting to force changes in the Sony Ericsson WTA's Tour Roadmap 2010 on Friday, refusing to submit Roadmap applications which would have forced them to choose being an "A" or "B" level tournament. TennisReporters.net has also learned at least three other US tournaments have requested an extension to file an application over the weekend or on Monday: IMG-owned Miami and Stanford, and Indian Wells, which is primarily owned by three parties: PM Sports, Miller Publishing and the USTA. © TennisReporters.net 2007 |
