Stanford might move to San Diego

3 US cities submit bids for US Clay Courts; Serena rips roadmap

The tours have moved to Europe for the spring clay-court season, but there's still movement afoot on the US tournament side.

In a story that will also appear in the May issue of Inside Tennis magazine, San Diego, whose tournament owners, Raquel Giscafre and Jane Stratton, sold its Tier 1 designation back to the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour last summer (which consequently sold it to Beijing), may not be gone forever after this year.
