Fed Cup shocker: Russians stun Venus, Raymond in decider

The US team had the Russians just where they wanted them on Sunday. Two expected wins from their money player, Venus Williams, two losses from the under whelming greenhorns, Vania King and Meilen Tu, and one of the world's most accomplished doubles players, Lisa Raymond, ready to tee it up with Venus in doubles.

But in an altogether stunning result, Williams and Raymond couldn't get it done against Nadia Petrova and Elena Vesnina, falling 7-5, 7-6(1) and handing Russia a 3-2 win over the United States in their Fed Cup semifinal in Stowe, Vt.
