Too good to be true for American Davis Cup team

All signs point to US victory over Russia, but stranger things have happened

Can there be such a thing as too much good news? That's the question facing US Davis Cup Coach Patrick McEnroe and the boys – Andy Roddick, James Blake and the Bryan brothers – as they prepare to take on the Russians this week in the '07 final.

Rarely has a team had as much good fortune as the Americans have in the days and weeks leading up to the final in Portland. From roster surprises to on- and off-court distractions for the Russians, rarely have so many breaks seemingly gone in one direction.
